This firewall offers a good level of protection for home users, and is powerful enough for advanced users yet simple enough for beginners. It has network monitoring too, as you'd expect from any powerful and professional firewall. A neat feature of Outpost is its ability to be used as access control for your family. You can block specific websites or simply all websites contaning a list of keywords. It can also block access to applications. Note that this is the final official release of the 2009 edition which contains a whole host of new features, including better overall protection, a user-interface that will enable you to switch between basic and advanced mode, a process activity monitor and much more.
